Description:The ship established monk seal field camps by transporting HMSRP personnel, equipment, and supplies to French Frigate Shoals, Laysan Island, Lisianski Island, Pearl and Hermes Reef, and Kure Atoll. A monk seal staff member was deployed short-term on Midway Atoll to conduct monk seal surveys. Day monk seal surveys at Ni‘ihau Island, Nihoa Island, and Midway Atoll were conducted to census the monk seal population.
