Description:Chum salmon (Oncorhynchus keta) that are caught in Alaska’s federally managed groundfish trawl fisheries are designated as prohibited species catch (PSC). We analyzed genetic stock compositions of chum salmon PSC samples collected from the 2017 walleye pollock (Gadus chalcogrammus) fishery in the Bering Sea and from the federal groundfish fisheries in the Gulf of Alaska (GOA).
