Description:"A theoretical study of the feasibility of employing electromagnetic sounding apparatus to measure engineering properties of sea-floor sediments is described. The results of this study indicate that a practical system cannot be used to yield data which can be interpreted in terms of the resistivity of a horizontally layered sea floor."
