Description:ANALYZ is a program designed for interactive rawinsonde analysis. The program displays any sounding from the AFOS database in graphic form on a GDM. By use of the "enter cursor" button on the GDM, a forecaster can construct wet and dry adiabats, calculate altitudes, temperatures or pressures, and display various parameters on the GDM scope. ANALYZ is designed to be of maximum utility in the forecasting of many meteorological parameters. Some of the various uses include thunderstorm forecasting, cloud base and top forecast, temperature forecasting and pollutant dispersal. Numerous other applications in forecasting are also possible using the program.
