Description:From late summer 2019 to mid-2020, we continued a multiyear research project to monitor the migration behavior and survival of wild juvenile spring/summer Chinook salmon Oncorhynchus tshawytscha in the Snake River Basin of Idaho. Wild parr were collected in natal tributaries, implanted with passive integrated transponder (PIT) tags, and released near their respective collection sites. In this report, we present data and analyses from detections of fish tagged in summer 2019 and monitored through spring 2020. Complete detail on fish collection and tagging is described in our report of April 2020, Monitoring the migrations of wild Snake River spring/summer Chinook salmon juveniles: Fish collection and tagging, 2019.
