Description:The project was conducted as part of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration’s (NOAA’s) 2016 Hazardous Weather Testbed (HWT) at the National Severe Storms Laboratory (NSSL) in Norman, Oklahoma. It was a joint study between the National Weather Service (NWS) Hazard Simplification (HazSimp) project and the Forecasting a Continuum of Environmental Threats (FACETs) project, which creates and displays probabilistic hazard information (PHI) for tornadoes, severe threats (wind and hail), and lightning.
