Description:

The 12th North Pacific albacore workshop was held at the the National Research Institute of Far Seas Fisheries (NRIFSF), Shimizu, Japan, July 23-25, 1991. Thirty-four scientists from Japan and the united States met to review recent data and research, and to evaluate the condition of the north Pacific albacore stock. The Workshop is the most recent in a series which began in 1975 and includes the NRIFSF; Southwest Fisheries Science Center, La Jolla, California; Pacific Biological Station, Nanaimo, British Columbia and the Institute of Oceanography, National Taiwan University, Taipei, Taiwan, as members.
