Description:This report presents a summary of surface and bottom temperature and salinity data collected during the Northeast Fisheries Science Center’s HB1405 Fall Bottom Trawl Survey aboard the NOAA FSV Henry B Bigelow. Data was obtained with two Seabird Electronics SBE Model 19+ profiling CTD (s/n’s 4758 & 7143) during bongo double oblique tows and with a SBE Model 9/11+ s/n 0832 at all other stations. Sea water samples were taken for the purpose of correcting salinity values. A SBE43 Dissolved Oxygen sensor was attached to the SBE 9/11+. This is the first Bottom Trawl Survey to regularly deploy the higher resolution SBE 9/11+ and accommodate a Biospherical Instruments Inc. QSP2300 PAR (Photosynthetically Active Radiation) Sensor. A QSR2200 Surface PAR sensor was attached to a boom which could be lowered during the 9/11+ casts. The PAR data obtained during the vertical profiling casts is included in the archived CTD data; the surface PAR data will be made available on request. Data presented here have been audited, however, corrections and/or updates may be applied at a later time.
