Description:Stocking data, listed by age/life stage and river of release, and tagging and marking data are
summarized for all New England programs. A total of 15,235,000 juvenile salmon (fry, parr,
and smolts) was stocked. The Connecticut River received the largest percentage (61.3%); the
majority of which was fry. Maine rivers received approximately 20% of the total, followed by
the Merrimack River with 14.9%. The total release was an 10.3% increase over that of 1999
