Description:This report provides an overview of key findings and the current status of coral reefs surveyed by the NOAA Pacific Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program (RAMP) in the National Marine Sanctuary of American Samoa (NMSAS) and surrounding territorial waters between June and July 2018, as well as a temporal comparison to similar surveys conducted during the 2015 RAMP research cruise. These surveys are a component of the Pacific Reef Assessment and Monitoring Program (Pacific RAMP)—a long-term, integrated, ecosystem-scale study led by NOAA’s Pacific Islands Fisheries Science Center (PIFSC), Ecosystem Sciences Division (ESD), at about 40 U.S.-affiliated Pacific islands.
