Description:The purpose of this action is to eliminate permit restrictions unique to commercial king and Spanish mackerel permitted vessels. The need for this action is to standardize vessel permit restrictions applicable after a commercial quota closure, remove restrictions on recreational fishing, and reduce the potential for regulatory discards in the king mackerel and Spanish mackerel components of the CMP fisheries.
