Description:This document principally includes alternatives for creating a license limitation system for the commercial red snapper fishery. Additional alternatives were considered by the Council in September 1996 and deleted. These deleted alternatives and the reason for deletion are contained in the Appendix to the Options Paper for Amendment 15. Alternatives for defining harvest allowances of reef fish from traps, other than permitted fish traps, stone crab traps and lobster traps, are included in Section 8.0. Size limits for vermilion snapper, removal of grunts, porgies, and sea bass from the FMP, greater amberjack seasonal closure, and 20-fish aggregate bag limit modifications are in Sections 9.0 through 12.0, respectively.
