Description:The North Atlantic right whale (Eubalaena glacialis) population has been in decline for 8 years due to increased mortality and sublethal effects from multiple factors. Together these have contributed to a decrease in calving. Shifting ecosystem conditions have also changed North Atlantic right whale behavior and fishing patterns.
