Description:"The Fajardo River basin, though relatively small, is representative of the development of hydrological basins in Puerto Rico and the impact this development brought. Geology and soil type, land use, water management practices, biodiversity, and water quality history for the basin were researched and are discussed. Field interviews to parties involved in one way or another in nonpoint source pollution in the basin were done. Based on the information presented, a series of recommendations leading to control nonpoint source pollution at the basin is offered."--p.1.
