Description:"The major goal of this project was to determine the feasibility of applying PIT-tag detection systems in key locations in the Delta representing the range of channel types and structures present. This involved designing and testing new PIT tag arrays for detecting juvenile salmonids in the upper water column in large open channels, and using these results along with existing antenna designs to assess the overall feasibility of employing PIT tags for research and monitoring of salmonids in the Central Valley and Delta"--Summary.
