Description:Hourly surface observations of temperature and wind are objectively analyzed on a grid with a gridlength of about 50 miles (1/4 that used to be at the National Meteorological Center). The analyses are then used to compute relatively small-scale diagnostic fields of divergence, vorticit, frontogenetical function, and temperture advection.
