This manual is for use in safety training courses for those who travel on or over water as part of their work assignment or for pleasure. The survival techniques described in the manual, and demonstrated in the course, are internationally recognized procedures although they are not the only methods available. The Drill Guide Manual and course have been developed to assist commercial fisherman in conducting the monthly emergency drills required by 46 CFR 28.270(c).
