Description:"The following tables represent effort, retained catch (kept) and discards (released) as reported on longline log sheets for the American Samoa limited-access longline fishery. Effort and catcheffort statistics are based on date of longline haul. Effort and catch statistics are based on logbook data submitted to the PIFSC, FRMD and represent an Oracle table LLDS_REPORT_STATS_AS database extraction done on 21 June 2016. When a statistic (number of vessels, trips) can involve dates of haul in 2 summary periods (i.e. years, semiannual, quarters) the item is counted in both summary periods. Thus, a trip total is for 'partial and completed' trips. As such, these are not additive statistics (i.e. sum of 4 quarters is not the total for the year, etc)."
