Description:Five species of penaeid and one of palemonid shrimp from Texas coastal rearing ponds, investigated during 1972-73, were found to host ectocommensals and parasites. New ectocommensal relationships and the nature of ectocommensal associations are discussed. Similarities and differences among shrimp species with respect to ectocommensal and parasite occurrence are also discussed.
