Description:The University of Alabama and the NOAA Air Resources Laboratory (ARL) entered into a cooperative agreement to conduct atmospheric research using a Sky Arrow 650 Environmental Research Aircraft. In 2004 the Sky Arrow Aircraft was instrumented with the Mobile Flux Platform (MFP) instrument suite developed by NOAA/ARL. The University of Alabama manages the aircraft program, and the instrumentation was integrated by NOAA/ARL. Both groups are involved in data analysis, research, and instrumentation. The instrumentation suite includes a wind measurement system, environmental instrumentation and a data collection system. This technical memorandum gives the reader a description of each system installed in the aircraft and how they are integrated into the data collection system.
