"Issued 25 July 2016.""The following tables represent effort, retained catch (kept) and discard as reported on longline log sheets for the Hawaii limited-access longline fishery. To satisfy confidentiality RFMO reporting standards, data from the California-based longline fishery is also included in this report. Effort and catch statistics are summarized from logbook data submitted to the PIFSC, FRMD and are based on date of longline haul. The statistics originate from an Oracle table LLDS_REPORT_STATS_HICA database extraction done on 3 May 2016. When a statistic (number of vessels, trips) can involve dates of haul in 2 summary periods (i.e. years, semiannual, quarters) the item is counted in both summary periods. Thus, a trip total is for (S2partial and completed (S3 trips. As such, these are not additive statistics (i.e. sum of 4 quarters is not the total for the year, etc)--Page 1.
