"The Regional Profile Database is a VSAM based random access database of NGM forecast sigma layer and diagnostic data at selected locations over North America. This database was designed as the basis for generating new model products which are not possible with the normal 12 hour gridded fields on pressure surfaces. Meteograms (time histories), soundings and other products are available for operational and R&D use. This TPB will describe the contents of the database, how to access it and present a few examples of products from the database"--Introduction.
