Provides a summary of the marine resources in the Olympic Coast National Marine Sanctuary, pressures on those resources, current condition and trends, and management responses to the pressures that threaten the integrity of the marine environment. Includes information on status and trends of water quality, habitat, living resources, and marine archaeological resources and the human activities that affect them. Helps identify gaps in current monitoring efforts, along with causal factors that may require monitoring and potential remediation in the future. The data is intended to note prior changes in resource status, and to provide guidance for challenges posed by increasing visitor use, military activities, underwater noise pollution, climate change, and other pressures.
