Description:Water samples at standard depths, were collected in Lake Ontario, at established stations in the course of four cruises during the 1972 open-water season. The sampling program and analytical methods are described. Chemical characteristics of the water are listed by cruise for each station and sampling depth. The statistical summaries showing lake-wide means, standard deviations, and sample sizes of selected variables are presented by depth for each cruise period.
