"The purpose of this report is to briefly describe the mapping data collection and processing methods, and to report the results of the mapping portion of the cruise. For a detailed description of Okeanos Explorer mapping capabilities, see the appendices section 'Kongsberg EM 302 Multibeam Sonar Desciption and Operational Specifications' and the ship's readiness report, which can be obtained by contacting the Okeanos Explorer Mapping Team (oar.oer.exmappingteam@noaa.gov ). This report focuses on the mapping exploration of EX-16-03. The cruise was a combined ROV exploration and mapping of the Papahānaumokuākea Marine National Monument (PMNM) including areas inside and outside the monument as well as operations in international waters and inside the Marshall Islands"--Report purpose.
